Spring Security with JSON Web Token and Refresh Token Course Description

JSON Web Token (JWT) is an open standard (RFC 7519) that defines a compact and self-contained way to securely transfer information between parties as JSON objects (from the JWT website). In this course, you will understand and learn how to use refresh tokens to generate and sign JSON Web tokens, which users can use to securely access your RESTful applications. This course teaches how to use JWT (JSON Web Token) to embed user roles.

And the authority to delegate user authorization (what they can and can’t do) in the application. This course also delves into defining and creating APIs, exposing API endpoints via HTTP, and handling HTTP requests and file uploads via API endpoints.

Covers testing of API endpoints (using HTTP client-Postman). This course is short, focusing only on using refresh tokens to generate JSON Web tokens, and shows how to use refresh tokens to generate new access tokens for users. If you want to learn more and build a complete stack application and understand how it is done in practice, etc., please check out my other on Udemy, JSON Web Token (JWT) with Spring Security and Angular course
